Child and Youth Care Practitioner Posting
Are you looking for a unique opportunity as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner who supports children living in a child and youth caring program? This role is as rewarding as it is challenging. Do you have the skills, desire and passion to help children learn different ways to regulate feelings and find new ways of responding to situations that cause them discomfort and distress, work as a team delivering services from a trauma informed lens, and work collaboratively with community partners and stakeholders, all with a goal of preparing children to return home or to a family-based service? As a Child and Youth Care Practitioner, are you able to work shift work days, evenings and weekends to support children in our Child and Youth Care Program? If this is a challenge that interests you, then this is the position for you.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field or a recognized Child-Care Worker Diploma (CCW/CYW)
- NVCI Certificate
- Emergency First Aid / CPR
- Food Safety Training
- Clear Criminal Records Check / Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clear Child Abuse Registry Check
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid proof to work in Canada
- Experience working in a Child and Youth Care Program
